Zuletzt aktualisiert Feb 18, 2025

Cleaning your wireless earbuds is essential for maintaining hygiene and ensuring optimal performance.

What you'll need:

  • Soft, lint-free cloth

  • Cotton swabs (for cleaning hard-to-reach areas)

  • Toothpick or soft-bristled brush (to gently remove stubborn debris)

  • Warm water (for dampening the cloth or cotton swabs)

  • Mild soap (optional)

  • Isopropyl alcohol (optional)

Steps:

  1. Gently remove any detachable parts, such as ear tips or wings.

  2. Clean the ear tips and removable parts:

    • Wash them with warm water and a small amount of mild soap

    • Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reattaching.

  3. Wipe down the earbuds:

    • Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the earbuds.

    • Avoid getting any moisture in the speaker openings, microphones, or charging ports.

  4. Clean the speaker grilles and microphone openings:

    • Use a dry cotton swab to gently remove any earwax or debris.

    • If there's stubborn buildup, carefully use a toothpick or a soft-bristled brush to loosen it.

  5. Clean the charging case:

    • Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.

    • Use a dry cotton swab or brush to clean the charging contacts inside the case.

Optional:

  • If you want to disinfect the earbuds, use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab.

  • For stubborn debris, consider using a cleaning putty designed for electronics.

Important tips:

  • Don't submerge the earbuds in water or use excessive moisture when cleaning.

  • Avoid using sharp objects like needles or pins, as these can damage the earbuds.

  • Make sure all parts are completely dry before using or storing the earbuds.

  • Aim to clean your earbuds at least once a month, or more often if you use them frequently or during workouts.
